This ought to be a "sticky".

I have seen so many posts from new Members (or those just seeking information) about 'what Team should I join' to no end.

Now that many have seen or heard about the World Community Grid and it's most worthy projects, it's high time to tell you about what Team to join or even start your own Team.

First of all, just join! Your Boinc points will follow you. Hopefully, the World Community Grid (for those of you who have been crunching on your own) will convert those old UD points to Boinc points (whenever) before this little planet we call Earth will explode due to this awful heat this Summer.

Eh, depends on which group of Scientists you believe on this matter and I am *not* going there at all. I don't know (wipes sweat off my brow).

To tell the truth, I would rather see Cures/Solutions happen. Can't and won't worry about the weather as I am not smart enough to predict that like the Weather folks you see on your local news and can't do it as well. Anyway, just my two centavos.

This post is meant to *grow* hundreds of more crunching Teams to the WCG. And we need all that extra CPU power.

The usual ways to start here/continue here if you crunch on your own.

Join a Team or start one on your own. We need to be more creative here.

Usually, you just do a search here for an existing Team from:

Your Country
Your City or region in that Country
Your University or College
Your business Team
A website that you are a Member of (like an 'over-clocking' website or whatever).
Your interests in certain subjects (you follow a certain comic strip or whatever).

OR,

You can get rather creative by starting a Team with special interests like Futball (Soccer) or Rugby, Hockey Teams, etc.

Whatever interests that are non-sports like "Curling". Or maybe stuff that you do at work (banking, recruiting, running a personal business like plumbing or whatever).

The thing is, if you are going to start a Team, just start one and tell you friends or associates about it. Call them (preferably) or email them.

Let's get imaginative about Teams. Followers of a TV show, a Movie, World History, The Nature Channel (the choices are so many).

The *real deal* is to try to double the size of the WCG so we can rid our tiny planet that we call Earth of all this deadly diseases and also find some solutions as well.

I like that Nike slogan:

"Just Do It".

Let's 'build' a much better 'tiny planet' together. I fully expect to see another 1,000 Teams here by next Saturday.

"Teh Interweb" can be finally be useful again, without the commercials or advertisements brought to you by lame websites that we have today that insist that you use 'Flash'. Seems like that 'teh Interweb" is all about selling adds and tracking you down. Geez ...
