Re: Join The International Team

Been away for a while (painting my parents' house mostly all days) but unfortunately as soon as we were done with the work for a day, guess what....RAIN! Every day! So the paint got ruined over and over again, we are going nuts here :)

The weather forecasters here really really s*ck at forecasting. When they say rain there is a good chance of sun and vice versa. They even bought new supercomputers thinking that was the problem before - insufficient computing power, LOL guess what...they were (and still are) too stupid to understand that they themselves are the ones having insufficient brain capacity so no computers in the world could help them forcast the weather.

It is like this with everything and everyone in Sweden. They are plain and simple stupid and naive. For example we have election in the country for which political parties that will lead the country for the next 4 years until the next election. People here have no real ideology or anything. If the red commies say that they will add $1000000 to education if they win the election then suddenly a lot of Swedes can turn from right ro left and vote for them just because of the education part. And furthermore they never wonder where the money will be taken from, stupid as they are. Well, guess what again....higher taxes.

We already have 33% income tax. Now it has been lowered a few percent for those working, but the least fortunate such as retired people pay the highest tax whilst having the smallest income.

Sorry, didn't want to go into politics here. Just that it's 1AM here now and I am really pissed off because of the rain ruining everything for the 10th time this week.

Anyway, should get some sleep now. Hope you guys have better days :)

Wow. That sounds like things here. We had a Governor that won the election about 10 years ago on the statement that he was going to eliminate the car tax. No one stopped to wonder where the state was going to make up the lost revenue from. Not everyone has a car either. He should have eliminated the tax on food.
Average tax where I live - $36
Average tax in the northern part of the state - $700. Guess where the Capitol of the state and the Capitol of the U.S. is?

Re: Join The International Team

Lol, yea politicians are not to be trusted. I suppose that the capitals of US and where you live are far away :)

Here they promised to lower the taxes on petrol if they won. So....they won the election and the petrol tax went straight up. But people here are so "environmently friendly" that they think it is a good idea to raise the taxes. And those here who do not own a car are just glad because they hate the ones that do have a car (not realizing that petrol is used in transportation of food and other stuff which will inevitably increase in cost). Swedes are very very jealous people. They are never truly happy for you if things are going your way, how are people at where you live?

People believe politicians when they say that WE are the cause of global warming. That is just a political mind-game to keep people worried about the enironment instead of corrupt politicians and other important stuff. Here, the "green" party has about 10% of the votes, meaning that the gas tax will be almost doubled, car taxes will rise to never-before-seen heights and all kinds of meaningless taxes. Are you seeing any "green revolution" in your town?

As you may have noticed I do not believe in global warming being caused by us. According to me it is natural because we are heading towards a new ice age. And every time that happened, the earth first got warmer over some hundred years and then started to cool off into the ice age. The global waming politics is just to make money from a whole new industry and new taxes. What do you think?

Everyone here is trying to make people travel by collective means like buses and trains and such, but I tell you - when politicians start traveling like that, I may consider doing it. But right now they own like 20 cars each and simply increase their salary when they want a few new ones with bigger engines.

I just wonder what will happen if everyone starts traveling by collective means...all the diseases spreading (swine-flu....), everyone will be constantly late for work since never will it happen that the bus or train will be there on time. What will happen with trains on power outages? The costs will be so high for all such things it will not be defendable.

Wow now that's a long post, no one will have the time or will to read it lol :)
