Re: Join The International Team

My grandmother would have been 113 today.
A wonderful woman, over 30 years now and still missed by all who knew her.

Re: Join The International Team

I know what you mean Jack! My grandmother passed away a couple of years ago and she is very missed, even though I only had the chance to meet her once after the age of three (the same goes for all grandparents). :/

It makes me very sad at times that I couldn't meet her any more than that.

Re: Join The International Team

Jun 7,
I'm bored.
So I switched to GFAM and I wont make either goal oh well...
I gave a guy I work with my old I7 920 and 930,
he bought me a 24" monitor (sorry if I've mentioned it).
I upgraded it to a 27" 2ms samsung, LOVE IT.
That was kind of him I wasn't asking for it.
Next time he came over I sold him my video card for 80 bucks
and a $34 network card (my ethernet plug on motherboard is bad).
I used that money and took back a 115 dollar power supply to buy
a new Gigabyte 7950 GPU.
So a 7950, 7850, and a 7750 ready for GPU processing

Re: Join The International Team

Yeah, I missed my goals too on GFAM... oh well that badge will stay red and horrible forever there unless they find more WUs for GFAM somewhere. The same can be said about HPF2, which I most probably will miss sapphire on.

Oh well, at least I have an excuse I suppose...my orsair H100 water cooler is on RMA so I am limited basically to an HTPC core i3-530 dual core (with HT though) when it comes to 24/7 crunching.

Congrats Baron to the badge (CEP is a tough one)!

Sleep well people, if you are about to do that (here time is 2am soon so I'm off to bed)!

Re: Join The International Team

OH HEY,
Lemme introduce Mark J
He's from my neck of the woods and works in the IT world where I work security.
We've swapped computer parts a couple times and got stuff up and running.
I told him about WCG and now he's running.
I warned him it's addictive biggrin

Re: Join The International Team

Well done Jack, and a warm welcome to Mark J!
I hope you'll find your stay pleasant and addictive (Jack is right, it really is)! ;)

Also, I have finally received my replacement CPU cooler from corsair as a result of my RMA. I sent an H100 and received an H100i, exciting! It is not installed yet, since today I went for a roadtrip with my mother to buy a drawer, it was great but exhausting still.

Anyway, have a great evening folks!

Re: Join The International Team

Well Hey,
How's everyone doing?
Still waiting on my meter for the solar,
still waiting on my GTX 670 RMA,
but enjoying the coffee and the sunshine.
Did a little bike riding after work yesterday,
Today a few of us getting together for a BBQ.
Hope you all are having a good weekend!

Re: Join The International Team

Well some of you may have heard that Calgary Alberta was flooded pretty badly. I live about 4 hours north (short ways in terms of Canadian geography). I got some rain, but our terrain isn't the bowl that Calgary has. The headquarters where the company that does the lines and meters and such was flooded and not opened up for business til Tuesday (Monday is Canada Day). So I have turned off my solar (again) as it was costing me a few bucks a day to give them power. Maybe next week, they will get to it. I'm not really crying about it, because MANY people had it bad down there, so they should be working on power restoration, not my meter problem. On a positive note, I'm about at 5 years for DSFL, and within a few days of hitting 3 years on CEP2. Aids is the only project not at 5 years of active then. I'll crunch that til we get some more. Hope you are having a good vacation time, and all is well!
