I have entered the interesting but slightly hazy world of project estimated (calculated) end dates. It seems to be a trendy pastime lately on these forums. Here's my take on calculated "project weight", "project end date" and "days left": http://www.wcgsig.com/projects.html As with the signatures it is updated daily. At the bottom it says what is used for the calculations. Hi KLiK, I'm only watching last 14 days. Take for instance Zika: Progress says 70% done. Total results returned so far is 65.812.804. That means there's 28.205.487 results left to process. We average 476.217 over the last 14 days. This means that at current speed there's 28.205.487 / 476.217 = 59 days left, so end date is 2017/01/19. That's how I calculate.  |
