Aren't those all recently inactive accounts, so their recent averages are 0?

By the way, SNURK, I think there might be an incorrect cropping offset or something on my signature after the newest update. It seems to show the badges of someone else above my signature, and my progress bars are cut off. Just a heads up. Thanks for the sig again; it's awesome!

I mean, I can't say for sure since I'm not SNURK and I'm not sure exactly where he gets his stats from. But I know from my unique path through WCG that they're recent and not historical.

I crunched on WCG waaaay back in the day (March of 2007), and then because of my path through life, I couldn't contribute for several years. Then, finally, I had the means to contribute again. I liked the look of the projects available, so I came back in force Jan. 2 of this year (2019). So, my current average stats are far above what my "true historical" average would be.

When I see SNURK's signature, I know he's not polling some WCG APIs that show the "historical" averages, because I can see those on my private profile page and they're way off for what I'm contributing now. SNURK's does show a good average figure for my contributions over the past couple months. Not sure what his cutoff for "recent" is, but I know it's not an average over the entire time of the cruncher's membership on the site. If they were, that would imply that at my current rate of 180 days of crunching per day, I'd have nearly 2300 years of crunching, since my initial joining in 2007. Alas, I only have 126 years haha.

The user you linked is listed as "inactive", and only crunched on Android/ARM projects. Only recent projects they crunched on were Zika and SCC, and they had less than 5Y crunching on each. So my conclusion is that, since WCG hasn't had any android units for the last three months or so, that they hit 0 for recent work, and that gave them the "inactive" status. Or maybe vice versa? haha

But this is a great set of questions, and curiosity is always an excellent mindset to have! Wish I had definitive answers. There might be one somewhere in this thread, but at 516 pages, it'd be tough to find

If I remember correctly, I use the last 30 days for the averages.
I list members as inactive after 30 days of no results returned.
I think the 5 members that were posted by adriverhoef were at 29 days without results, resulting in a very low average (1 day active + 29 x zero). One day later they were all labelled inactive.
