----------------------------------------How often will they self-update for stats? Also how is the world color generated? It seems it takes ALL projects into account, even with those without badges? I have nine projects that I worked on that never got a badge for. It seems those are significantly bringing down my score. As I have been here so long, when this first got started it was very difficult to finish a WU, it took a day if not weeks for one WU. And CPU time was only by one or two cores at most as CPUs were limited, so I could only work on one project but sometimes no work, so I started working on other projects that never got a badge. haha. so I am guessing the bronze globe in mine is because it calculates all projects? The globe is calculated by your total run time divided by the total number of WCG projects. At the moment this is 31. This calculation is the same for everyone. The way the globes are calculated is the most fair solution I can come up with. There are crunchers who have cruched 300 cpu years devided over 20 projects, and have 20 project badges. There are others who crunched 300 cpu years and decided to dedicate all work to only two projects, so only having 2 project badges. At first glance, looking at their badges, the first cruncher seems to have done much more. The globe however reveals that both have the same amount of work done. Badges of finished projects are out of reach for newcomers, but globes can be reached in any color any time, as long as you bring some power. Just let the crunching time add up and the globes will come no matter how many projects are available. Cheers, SNURK |
