Current Status

As you well know by now, 250Host and 250Free are down.

To sum up a long story, my company is in extreme financial hardship. More specifically, I’ve run out of money. LiquidWeb, the company that hosts the virtual servers for 250Free and 250Host, has suspended service and will terminate the servers at the end of January if full payment is not made. I cannot afford to continue running the business in its’ current state.

I had plans to terminate free hosting at 250Free, and continue to support only paying members. This, I believe, would have reduced costs enough for the business to support itself. It is my failing that I did not commence upon this sooner.

The unfortunate truth for you means that unless I find a way to transfer the business to a company who can pay the bill and take over operations, your website data may be lost. I have some physical data held locally, but it is at best several months aged and by no means complete.

If you have a domain registered with 250Free, you will continue to receive renewal emails with the ability to renew your domain. And you can login to manage your domain at http://access.enom.com/. If you have a domain registered with 250Host, I will begin to move your domains over so you will receive renewal emails and have the ability to manage your domain via the URL listed previously.

There is nothing I can say to make this situation better. This is not my finest moment. I will do what I can to get any data I have back to you.
