Snurk, I have sone questions for you about the way you collect the differents infos for the signature. Can we find a way to communicate elsewhere than on the this thread. (people don't care about technical info I think ) Thanks Hi, I think there's no need to discuss technical issues elsewhere. This forum is loaded with technical discussions, so here goes: I collect the data for the signatures from various places here at WCG. First of all there's the user.gz file, a large zipped file containing user data located here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/stats/ Then there's the individual member XML files, for example this one: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewMe...erName=SNURK&xml=true , and the Team XML file, for example this one: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTe...d=L67XVR59W1&xml=true Then there's the country ranking like this one (no XML available). There's 3 of these, run time rank, points rank and results rank: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewCo...&numRecordsPerPage=25 , and the team ranking like this one, again there's 3 of these: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTe...dsPerPage=10&xml=true And there you have it, the complete collection of sources for this signature. I use AutoIt to collect, calculate and fiddle with the data and generate and upload the signatures. Snurk, I too would like to find out how you calculate. Especially the Gflops. TIA! First of all there's the Run time/project calculation. This is your total run time devided by the total number of research projects ever launched here at WCG. This doesn't include the beta testing 'project'. At the moment that's 17. You can find a complete list here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewProjects.do Then there's the GFlops (or TFlops for a few monster crunchers). This is asked and explained a number of times in this thread. The calculation is based on these two fixed definitions: A: 100 Boinc points per day = 1 GFlops B: 1 Boinc point = 7 WCG points So, 700 WCG points per day = 1 GFlops From there you get: (WCG points per day) / 700 = GFlops The recent average WCG points per day are found for every user in the user.gz file discussed in the post above this one. Big thanks for all the informations you give in the post above. This is very clear and helpfull. I've got one more simple question: Do you set the number of actives projects manualy in your script, of is there a place where we can find it (as an xml for exemple) ? Thanks a lot (again)  |

The source I use for the total number of projects is here:
