Hi ibsteve2u,
haha, that's classified information - otherwise we'd have the spies of Princeton and Yale crawling all over the place . |

wow, that was quite a dip in yesterday's returns... Good that our friends at IBM don’t have to shut down their server too often . But we seem to be back to normal right.

There was another WCG server interruption planned for today, but this has been postponed by our friends at IBM by a week to the 15th of March. So we are all good for today.

I just checked the status of my projects and am finding a ton of inconclusive results across many of my computers. Is this an issue that I am not aware of?

Ascholten, please keep up...
----------------------------------------There are numerous threads dotted around the forums regarding this issue. Basically, due to the mega-software upgrade the WCG techs performed earlier on in the week (for which, there was a scheduled outage), ALL devices had their reliability setting removed - as, prior to the upgrade, the reliability setting was across ALL the WCG projects, now, it's rated against EACH project. Thus, you may now be rated as reliable for CEP2 (a ZR project, and thus, you'd be allowed to 'go it alone'), but for C4CW (another ZR project), you may still have a wingman to double check your results. All the WU's that were sent prior to the upgrade (i.e. those which were sent as ZR), will now need to have another wingman verify yours - i.e., your WU will be classed as 'Inconclusive' until proven valid by another copy. All those sent after the upgrade, will be doubled up, and thus, if you finish yours before your wingman, it'll go into PV. At some point in the near future, the WCG techs will re-enable the reliability checking, and, if at such point your machine is classed as reliable for CEP2, then it'll be allowed to 'go it alone'. |

We cannot remember whether we already posted this, but we had an interesting discussion about investing in WCG projects on the forum which you may find interesting.

Today, we have the prospective G0 graduate students visiting the Harvard chemistry department – we hope one or two of them will be part of the next generation of the CEP team for the years to come.

Johannes gave today's Aspuru-Guzik group meeting and his presentation was titled "CEPDB - The nerve center of the Clean Energy Project".

Hi cleanenergy - nothing mentioned then as to increasing the '12 hr cut off limit'?
----------------------------------------It just seems strange that, currently with my computer, I'm regularly having WU's from other sciences (GFAM, DSFL, SN2S, HPF2 etc.), that progress right to the end - even when that's often twice as long as the 12 hr cut-off time CEP2 is limited to... |
