Re: flagU.S. Air Force Team-Come fly with usflag

It took me forever and a day in my glider- As soon as the temps go down Hypernova's HyperJet will blow by me in about 20 minutes laughing
Can't wait!

pramo I am testing new engines for this winter. They use a special fuel (the chemical formula is 6-H79-D70-4-Nv58-0. It produces its full power when external temps reach 5 deg Celsius or lower. When stabilized at Mach 40 I will probably cross the sky biggrin

Re: flagU.S. Air Force Team-Come fly with usflag

Hi all! biggrin

Hope everyone is doing well.

Pramo, I have e-mailed 109Fire to see about getting us signed up for the challenge. I gave him a link for this thread so maybe he will stop by.

Been quiet here lately. Nice to see some activity.

We will keep an eye to the sky Hypernova, but if your speed estimates are good we may not be quick enough to see you pass by.

Hypernova, you have given me 4 more months to take a commanding lead-I now estimate it will take you 21.2319 minutes:)

The advantage of GPU crunching. I have my main machine set up with 2 5850's and 1 5870 GPU's. That same machine is on a H100 water cooling system now that is letting me overclock to 4.6+GHz on all 4 cores and 8 threads.
RAC on that machine is at 29,000 and still climbing.

Now if I could build a couple more machines like this one.

Re: flagU.S. Air Force Team-Come fly with usflag

Sorry for the delay. Christmas decorations taking way too much of my time at the moment. 50,000 lights to put up and get synchronized with music. Doing a Chrismas light parade float on the 1st of Dec also with it's lights also synchronized to music.

Ready for a nap. laughing

The Maximus IV Extreme MB at $460 and the 2600K i7 at $360. were the expensive parts but both are less now. All together the full build cost around $1500 without the monitor. Put a SATA 6GB/s 120GB SSD for a boot drive and 2 1TB 7200RPM 6GB/s drives running in raid 0 for gaming. Water cooler is a Corsair H100 and power is a 1000watt rosewill.

Still no lottery win here so no new build for a bit.

Ok pramo. Here I come. I let you have a good distance. My new warp rocket engines push at approx Mach 80 or Warp 1.19. For info Warp 1 is 1 Million Boinc credits/day or 7 Million WCG ppd.
Problem is to have the right fuel. Quantities seem limited. With such a speed I need to fly very very high about 130'000 feet, otherwise there is too much atmospheric drag and heat. laughing
