I've seen this twice myself. My system is a Mac running OSX 10.6.8 and BOINC 6.12.33. The network connection here shows 90Mbps down 40Mbps up and has been around since the UUCP days. Anyone looked in the Result Log over on the Result Status pages?
If it is the -200, knreed explained that a small number [0.7%] has a server to client verification problem after receipt, the client then rejecting the job. No computing time lost. --//-- |

I had 12 error results on two machines during this rain. All with return value -200.

Well spotted, both of my bombs were -200s. Though, one of them had ALL of the members of the quorum bomb. That would indicate a problem with the batch, or an incompatibility with the batch and BOINC, rather than something like a timing issue.
I must admit that the explanation of the circumstances that lead to the -200 were pretty deep and geeky, and I do evil systems programming for a living. So, as long as all are satisfied with loosing those batches...done and done. |

So, as long as all are satisfied with loosing those batches...done and done No batch was lost, rather, tasks were not computed, sparsely spread. When this cycle is done / nearly done, I'd anticipate these to be netted and then regenerated for circulation. 0.7% on 216,400 tasks is still a significant number... 1500+ tasks on which the scientists still would like the correctly processed output. The regenerated task, if encountering same rate of verification failure would have < 15 drop. uplinger will be happy to do those manually on his in-house systems to make his blue badge ultra blue ;D --//-- |
