Good evening all,

I have just purchased the components for my new silent htpc. Nothing fancy with a i3 3225 CPU, 8GB 1600 MHz RAM and 128 GB OCZ Vertex 4 SSD, but it will be running 24/7!


Will it be in action soon enough to stop Soong taking the #1 spot in UK team Points 2 days and Results 13 days confused

The only way I could stop that is with the computer from the Star Ship Enterprise!

I am hoping to catch Soong when the GPU well runs dry as I am mainly CPU bound and my one GPU (Quadro 2000) doesn't contribute that much.

Enjoy being in the number one spot Soong, as it may not last as long as you thought!! I didn't think I would be overtaken by a new comer to the team anytime soon a few months ago! sad

Yeah, my nice army of servers is nothing (points/results wise) compared to Soong's enviable GPU-setup!

My 45-50 days worth of daily run-time should be OK to keep me climbing the ranks in that aspect, for now, though! smile

I'm not quite going to hit the 35-year run-time marker within my first year of WCG, though......not unless I get another test-server like the one I've still got churning away (16GB dual quad-core-hyperthreaded Xeon).

After another successful day's crunching the UK team has moved ahead of University of Texas at Dallas in the RunTime rankings to #82 biggrin

Got my Ruby for C4CW - With 21 days remaining, even with a full cache, it's unlikely I'll hit Emerald, so I'm back working to move the golds to rubies again.

Is that 21 days of work remaining for C4CW as of today? If so, I probably ought to tweak my workload a touch as I might just manage sapphire then.
