Looks like my stats for today are going to be very bad, simply because I can't return any work units (for some unknown reason???).


I'm assuming WCG non-upload is the only problem - everythingelse works ok - This thread from mid-Feb appears to describe a similar problem with a UK ISP (Virgin). Might be worth reading through for a couple of things to try suggested by sekerob.

Yep, the problem seemed to solve itself around that time (slowly), all results where returned before the update (more luck than judgment), so I ended up with a good update.

Still not sure what happened, internet was fine (infact, a little faster than usual due to lack of updating and downloading), but WCG servers weren't (for me anyway confused ).

Virginmedia went down 0930 yesterday crying Still not fixed. Lunch crunch likely to be slow again as may be offline at home until can make use of mobile wifi hot spot. sad

News of a possible new target for Help Fight Childhood Cancer (HFCC):

We are hoping for a new target later in April or May. However it depends on how soon the target's protein structure can be determined. This is being done by another research organization. Large proteins are difficult to crystallize and this time consuming step is required before they can use x-ray crystallography to determine the exact structure of the target.
