Alex Perryman, who leads both GFAM & FAAH, has a linkedin profile , which I found very interesting. He lists Public Relations as a skill which is evident from the regular updates for his projects.

(Tks to rilian for unearthing the link).

A post by SekeRob :
[OT] Just notice on My Grid that HCMD2 was moved from intermittent to completed, scuttling any last fleeting hope for that one to get a teeny more crunch out of that one... but excellent for the scientists and now makes the completed projects and phases a total of 13... 6(8) to go, 5(7) shortly ][/OT]

and a response from knreed :
We will be sending an eblast and posting a news and update post about all the changes early next week. We finally have all data to the researchers and verified that the project is complete so we felt we could finally make HCMD2 closed.

Nothing interest on the first reading.

But consider We will be sending an .... update post about all the changes early next week.

Might we see a Big Reveal??? shock

Re: LunchCrunch Report

Well, it's nice of two component-failures to happen so close together (graphics card started playing up the other week), but overnight one of the hard-drives in my gaming PC failed. It was a RAID-0 array, so a complete loss; I had everything I needed backed up, so nothing has actually been lost, but have spent most of today trying to get Windows 7 back onto it.

I had picked up a Corsair Neutron 240GB SSD to put the operating system on, a while ago, along with a 2TB drive I was planning on using as storage. However, since my motherboard is completely and utterly refusing to detect the SSD, I'm now having to install the O/S onto the 2TB drive - will have to wait til I go back to work to see if the SSD is detected on a test-lab machine, before I look into RMA'ing it (if it is faulty) or just holding it in a drawer somewhere for when I do my planned upgrade (with a motherboard that isn't made by ASUS - nothing but issues with this one).

What an excellent start to the long weekend! sad

Targets & Threats

The Targets & Threats Report has been revamped and needs some explanation.

In common with most other reports it's underpinned by averaging production stats over a period of days - originally 7days but moving to 28days (Currently at 16 days). Days to Close are shown derived from the original 7day Net Average Production (NAP) and the new 28day 16 day NAP. The relationship between the two figures then drives the Trend. Since the Team has been on an upswing the last few days everything is Blue. We're Closing the Gap on our Targets and widening the Gap from our Threats. Normally there would a scattering of Wider where NAP UK:Target is slowing and Closer where NAP Threat:UK is increasing.

As previously posted the new 28day 16 day NAP commenced May 9 which was the first day when HCC dropped below 1% of total production. So no allowance needs to be made for the lingering effects of HCC.
