 Good Monday Morning Everyone Congratulations to xroule, dkt and YellowAV! Another hot week here in the DFW-Texas-USA area.  Looking at what the AB computer store charged for working on that thinkpad, I guess I need to increase my rates. I hope they included showing Dave which screws to remove to open up his laptop. I can't see paying $140 (since that's their minimum) just to have someone blow the dust out of it. I don't think $140 is too much for the brick and mortar business they use to make themselves known to someone like myself. I did want to have a quality repair job, and from my previous use of the ThinkPad, this will not be a yearly thing. The computer is in much better shape with the new parts. Also, I went with my family (you know, parents and siblings) to Texas in the 1950s where our first location was Dallas. I believe that is the home of the Texas state fair. I don't think it is the home of chiggers, but I got them ALL over me. Next we went to Houston where I delivered the Houston Chronicle and I remember one nice lady who gave me a jar of honey with part of a honeycomb; she raised bees in her back yard. One other thing I remember is the temperature got to over 100 degrees both day and night continuously for over a month. So I know what you are talking about when you say hot and taking a vacation in the Sahara. I think the worst part was the humidity. |

Its Tuesday so Good Morning Team The team points don't seem to be suffering from the heat yet. I wonder about the fall when it cools off. Looks like the 365 million point year is getting out of the question (million a day). I think it's not out of the question yet. We normally increase our production as the year goes by. With the number of million point days we've had so far and the regularity of our doing 900K days otherwise, we're well up from the beginning of the year. By end of the year. we'll (hopefully) view million point days as "off" days. |

I know that there are a lot of days when the points were low due to the number of WUs going to PV jail. There have also been those times when a machine is offline due to hardware, electricity outage, or automatic updates which required a reboot. I have had two machine outages that were taken care of fairly quickly, but the reboot for an upgrade occurs at different times for each machine and I normally run with the displays powered down.
