It's (kinda) the AMD that is causing invalids. If a result is sent out on Linux, the wingman will be Linux as well. ... Intersting, thank you! Looks like my AMD's will not be participating in the new sub-project ![]()

I have the same fears as you. However, it is possible for the scientists to change the validation parameters or the techs to change the distribution to match CPU types. That's what the Beta process is for; to get all these kinks worked out.

"This causes the two Intel results to match up and the AMD result goes invalid. If the third happens to go to an AMD, the Intel result will invalidate." Would the techs comment on this?; |

Hi,
----------------------------------------here is a full list of results limited to the 2011-08-05 distribution only: BETA_ BETA20_ ace_ 0000000_ 0086_ 0-- enezeussa Invalid 8/5/11 18:13:24 8/6/11 10:19:03 2.50 74.0 / 74.0 AMD based hosts, updated Ubuntu 10.04 x64, boinc 6.10.17:
Intel based hosts, updated Win XP Pro SP3:
All the mentioned hosts are normally fully reliable. However, in the past I experienced some invalid WUs with DDDT2. Cheers, Yves |

Thanks again to all of the beta testers. We are currently testing a fix for the issues being seen on Win XP where the application does not respond to the suspend/resume message as well as cpu% request. We are also looking into the AMD vs. Intel invalid issue.
Thanks, armstrdj |

Mine processed about an hour quicker. Device is Linux x64, Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300, 4 GB DDR2 RAM, not O/C, has been a good cruncher. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...ad,31507_offset,20#333448 |

To all,
Remember how long it took before CEP2 went live on Windows and how long the Beta ran on Linux? Let's give the programmers time to do it right, so launch can be done in good confidence. If there is a matching issue due CPU brand differentials it will be handled in the best fitting manner. cheers --//-- |

I only got 2, but they seem to have completed just fine.

It's not hard to be patient when the same issues that require patience also cause more beta testing !

Just a quick head's up, the no reply resends will be issuing within the next few hours. I still have 3 of 16 results in PV jail myself.
