Cost of crunching in your area - electricity prices

This topic keeps popping up in various threads, so here is an exclusive thread for the cost of electric / running costs of crunching.

From the start of Oct (following the 19% hike) I will be stuck with,
Peak rates (no crunching), 3h per week day, ~£0.28 per KWh
Normal rate ~£0.16 per KWh
Night Rate 8h ~£0.10 per KWh

At 1.3KW power requirements for crunching I would be paying around £3.75 per week day, and 4.25 per weekend day; £27.25 per week / ~£120 per month / ~£1500 per year.

Right now, we're paying $0.09/kWh.
After we move to the west coast, it will be variable, up to around $0.24/kWh.
I'm guessing my output will be dropping significantly. crying

Re: Cost of crunching in your area - electricity prices

I pay AUD$0.149 per Kwh but I am fortunate enough to have a 4.22Kw solar array on my roof which feeds into the suppliers network. The electricity my array produces has a mandated price of AUD$0.475 per Kwh
