Do you defrag your SSD?

You know you shouldn't as it reduces their lifespan and you are told it makes no difference

but....

You know when defraggler says something along the lines of "SSD Detected are you sure you want to continue?"

Are you, like me, compelled to press the "Yes" button ? biggrin

Crucial, one of the best memory chip experts in the world offers the following advice:

Another expert is Microsoft. You might notice that Win7 and the new Win8 automatically keep you from attempting a defrag on an SSD.

Lastly, what you might consider as defrag on a ssd is a built in process known as TRIM. Win7 forward supports TRIM, however Vista does not. Even then, Crucial does not recommend defrag.

Hope this is helpful.
