Project Qualification Criteria

When the WCG committee has validated the selection of a project that has been submitted to be crunched by the grid, besides the scientific criteria for qualification, do they also check that the applicant will have the financial and IT resources to receive, store and analyze the data produced according to the throughput that can be expected from the grid ?

It should also be mandatory for each qualified project, to have at least once a year, a live web presentation by the responsible project scientist, with Q&A session like it was made for FAAH the 1st December.

Yes. Please review our Request For Proposals (pdf) at https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/viewSubmitAProposal.do
devilish Of course, we do not ask for proof of cash in hand. We just ask for reasonable expectations for research grants.

Re: Project Qualification Criteria

Hello Hypernova,
What I think about:
It should also be mandatory for each qualified project, to have at least once a year, a live web presentation by the responsible project scientist, with Q&A session like it was made for FAAH the 1st December.
is that the WCG staff are very enthusiastic about these web presentations. My personal opinion is that the WCG strongly urges the project scientists to make these presentations. I expect that this publicity method is being pushed along about as hard as is reasonable. I believe that scientists will slowly become more familiar with these web presentations.
