The status page on the FAH website has been recently updated.
http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status EXPERIMENT 38 This experiment involves faah26,179 - faah26,810. EXPERIMENT 39 This experiment involves faah26,811 - faah31,500. ********* As a sidenote; if we continue crunching work units at the current pace, Experimnet 39 units should be coming to a close towards the end of February 2012. |

Hello dango,
38 already finished? :) I'm working on faah27682, so 25% from 39 is done... You are enthusiastically getting ahead of the status report at http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status which says that on 12 December 2011 the status is: Experiment 39: 0% Completed Experiment 38: 31% Completed In general, Scripps reports on result batches returned from WCG while we see individual work units sent out from batches at WCG. It is not unusual for us to be working on batches from different experiments. ![]() Lawrence |

If not continuous on those high batch range numbers, maybe one of the pathfinders the techs send out to estimate how to size this experiment. The current jobs now run at near 10 hour project average. That's for the lower end of the grid pack longer than a day. Kind of shoots the other thought of curtailing jobs to the 6-12 hour range so all can partake in a science in part time and still make it to deadline (my Centrino laptop took 26 hours to do the B-Type for DDDT2 for example... not something I'd want it to do all the time). 2 (deflating) Euro cents. --//-- |

Indeed 27682 is of experiment 39. If not continuous on those high batch range numbers, maybe one of the pathfinders the techs send out to estimate how to size this experiment. It's more like real progress. The most recent one I got was a number 28322 - well into Experiment 39. The explanation is simply that Experiment 38 was a rather short one, just covering faah26,179 - faah26,810. Experiment 39 is the much longer running one, involving faah26,811 - faah31,500. Hello lawrencehardin,
I added descriptions for Experiments 38 and 39 in mid-December, and I'll try to update the % completion statistics within the next week or two. You are completely correct--I report the dates when the results arrive on the server at TSRI, not the dates when the batches were actually ran on the donor machines. The batches that are running at any particular point in time on all the donor machines frequently involve several different Experiments. That's why all the work units have very detailed and carefully chosen labels that include the batch numbers (it makes it easy to organize and re-assemble everything for the analysis stage). And we are definitely progressing through these FAAH experiments quite rapidly. Thank you all very much for donating your unused computer time to World Community Grid! Have a very happy New Year! Best wishes, Dr. Alex L. Perryman |

As of right now WU from batch 29,320 are being sent out, well into Experiment 39.
Based on the turnaround time time that we have averaged this week, we should be able to get to the last batch (31,500) in about 57 days, which is around March 19th 2012. Things could speed up significantly if HCC and HCMD projects finish soon and more of the FAAH units are sent to those crunchers. Information on the next project (Experiment 40) has been recently posted on the FAAH site. http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status Experimnet 40 will have WU faah31,501 - faah33,528. |
