How to log in manually??

How do I log in manually, since the program does not prompt me to do so in boinc manager startup and hence I get "unable to connect to the core client".

Re: How to log in manually??

On the advanced menu there is a "select computer". Choose that, type "localhost" without quotes in the host name field, tab to the password field and OK [no password]. The password with localhost is autofill.

Of course, if there is no boinc.exe running at user or service level, it wont be able to connect, so plz check that in the Task Manager.

Re: How to log in manually??

Too fast... I wrote boinc.exe, without the mgr part. Is that running? BOINC consists of a core client and the GUI Boincmgr.exe, through which you can give BOINC instructions. BOINC does not need boincmgr to operate.
