It appears that CEP2 is awarding more points then other projects I have been crunching. I have 1 yr 166 days and have 1,435,000 points while other projects I have crunched longer have fewer points. Is CEP2 awarding more points per work unit?

No, it's not according to the comparison chart http://bit.ly/WCGCPH , it's just that before if your better performing machine was matched with a lower in quorum 2, the credit was averaged most of the times.
----------------------------------------Now when not running in quorum, the faster [and slower] machines gets what they claim, and low performers don't see the uplift from the quorum averaging, so much so that since CEP2 was switched to zero redundancy the average has been dropping [follow the green line]. As you can see on the chart, there are 6 sciences very tightly grouped ATM and others being a little above and below. C4CW dropped to that tight group. New and relaunching sciences always start high... after all the fast machines are the first to return results and get granted more per hour. --//-- edit: oops, was looking at a 4 day old chart. New one uploaded. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 20, 2011 10:27:47 AM] |
