32175 2012-02-19 01:42:43 Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

Been getting messages like this all day, but don't see any announcements here, so I'm starting to suspect the problem is with my ISP.

"Been getting messages like this all day"

Who's server is down? Uploads/Downloads run as normal here, no logging of retries at least for the last few days.

If it persists, boot computer and router or the flush the DNS cache, else visit the Start Here FAQ index for the topics on communication. There's a step by step to resolve the problem.

Re: Servers down?

No, it's an assumptive message in BOINC, the "may be temporarily down" part. If the internet is up, but cant successfully poll the project servers, it just spits out that message. As you're the only one reporting issue, consider changing your DNS server or follow the step-by-step FAQ. I've got 3 DNS servers on the shortlist, one of them 8.8.8.8, Google, and another Opendns. Read more on them at http://www.opendns.com/support/dynamic_ip/

Booting all parts that make up the link to the phone-jack [computer/router] mostly clears these issues [polluted DNS cache, somewhere in that path].
