Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 56 smilesmile

What would happen if all the money was in the hands of a single person?

When you talk about money, you are talking about real money such as gold and silver. Paper money can never be in the hands of a single person, and by paper money, I am talking about money that can be created by a government. If a single person held all the gold and silver, there are industrial uses for silver that would no longer be available.

That was a rhetorical question. Of course not one person can have all the money in the world!
Stop taking everything on the first level.
But most the ultra-rich people try to get even richer. Like if they want it all.
Big companies lost their sense belonging to the community. The send their productions offshore for cheaper labour. It is true in all occidental countries Canada and the US included.
Canada following the lead of the US government will do stupid things like, defaulting on treaties, ‘’thinks of Kyoto treaty’’, and going into expenditures like the F35 airplanes and what about accepting torture in Gitmo, our government prostitutes itself in the name of money and following the supposing most powerful country in the world.

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 56 smilesmile

I know it was rhetorical. I was just trying to raise the point, as is raised by my investment research firm, that real money is gold and silver, and not the money that can be created by a government to produce the cash required to support all of the programs created by that government. I am not saying that gold and silver are the only real assets to which there is a limit, and those assets cannot be created by a government out of thin air.

I just think the topic of money is a good topic whenever the discussion moves to a political arena. Thanks for bringing it up.

I'm back...in some form that is. Between the combined effects of senility AND extended road buzz, simple coherency is a challenge! Good to see you all kept the thread active while I was gone. Very well behaved too given the discussion. Got the quad rebooted and defragged so it's in good shape, well, normal shape that is. Lot's of catching up to do here......

BTW, anyone know what happened with the filesystem change on the 5th that boosted all the numbers so much across all of WCG? Was there a bunch of uncredited work?

Good to have you back KeithHenry! If all the money were in one persons hands it would become worthless! People would simply barter or develope something else of value to use as currency! Good night!

I agree Good to have you back.

I find it fasinating the different perspectives people have on Government and its control of money. Consequently who is responsible and "to blame".
