A couple of interesting facts about the Seychelles
---------------------------------------- At official exchange rates the Seychelles remains the richest country in Africa in terms of GDP per person, $7,504, although if the parallel exchange rate is used it ranks behind Botswana. The Seychelles is the most highly indebted country in the world, with total public debt around 200% of GDP. Approximately two thirds of this debt is owed domestically. This high debt burden is a direct consequence of the overvalued exchange rate, in essence the country is living beyond its means. Rudi, I told you not to run up that bar tab! "Use this handy map to explore the country of Seychelles" What's so funy????? The largest island is 23 kms long and 17 wide.... the runway at the airport was built into the sea over three smaller islands. When you land, you feel yourself touching down and you cannot see any land o one side of the plane - just water!!!!....   .... so ..??? small is nice and big is????? not so nice |
