Akela is the name of the wolf in the the Mowgli stories by Rudyard Kipling, Jungle Book etc, it is also the name of a trusted and respected scout leader. So with apologies to cub scouts everywhere.......
 Its a world of fun, it's a world of joy, And a smile comes easy to every boy. Things that we've learned today, Lead along Akela's way. We are Coconauts after all. Chorus We are Coconauts after all, To all Coconauts send the call. Show Akela we stand tall, We ARE Coconuts after all! So wolf or scout?  |

Congratulations, I am actually the Akela of a wolf cub pack. The lead Coconaut of 20 little Coconuts! Great to see you active Akela! I will let you into a litlle secret...... ..I spent some time in the town where Lord Baden Powell was laid to rest. As a scout, I use to do "bob a job" work and often cleaned Lord Baden Powell's Tomb stone at the cemetery where he was laid to rest......and before anyone asks, no I am not into cemtetries ... it was a job that I was very proud of as a Boy Scout. Anyone know the name of the town ? |

A group of cubs is known as a wolf cub pack. Akelas are sometimes female...." So you know what the next question is.......  I'm off to play with my woggle.........  Interesting fact No. 45 A woggle is a circular ring made of leather or plastic used to hold a scouts scarf in place. |

A little trivia now, do you know that BP's Father, the rev Banden Powell was born in 1796 and BP's wife Olave didn't die until 1977. Therefore there are some people alive in this world right now whose grandfather was born in 1796! |
