confused Work units allocated but not downloaded?

I appear to have a number of work units which are showing as 'In progress' when I check the Results Status page.
But the WU are not in my list of work, and nor do they appear in the Event Log as errors in download or procesing.
Interestingly some all ready seem to be the subject of 'Error' and 'No reply' messages from other crunchers.

X0930073570120200608011102
X0930073570118200608011102

are the first three, but there are certainly others.

Thanks for all your efforts.

Re: Work units allocated but not downloaded?

I think I'm having the similar situation, too.

Following 3 WUs are marked "No Reply", and there's no trace of downloading or processing those WUs in Event Log.

X0930073141523200607261304_2 (sent at Nov-10-2012 14:48:01 UTC)

By the way, I found the following output in Event log, around the sent time of those WUs. Maybe this is the cause of "not allocated" problem? confused
(Log timestamp is UTC+9.)
2012/11/11 5:39:27 | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
2012/11/11 5:39:27 | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU

Re: Work units allocated but not downloaded?

Result names in the event log may not match the names on the Result Status page. You really have to compare with the names listed on the Tasks tab.

AND, having made the Window 8 BOINC install under a MS account... you'll be confronted with lost results that you wont find on your client and will expire with "No Reply". Been there, done that... have 9 devices that came and went, until wising up and install under a W8 Local account.

The No close tag I reported on last week [There's a thread for that]. Had that and was loosing results and getting them re-issued, but it happened only one time. Had on the 10th: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,33185

Re: Work units allocated but not downloaded?

Thanks for the replies good people.

As sugested by ArcSedna, closer examination of the log around the time these tasks were received shows

and similar at two further times I have checked.
Still not sure if it is/was a machine/network problem or something at the sending end.
All tasks checked have previously finished with an error and a 'no reply' from other users, and one has accumulated an error and two 'No Reply' messages.
Guess I will be adding to that tally because there is no trace of the tasks on the machine. sad

I only spotted the problem Rob because I periodically check to see if any tasks look close to the dead-line. Today I saw some due to report by November 15, but everything running was November 16 or later.
And yes, you are right, no tie-up between the Result Name on the Results Status page and the name listed in the log file.

Thanks again for your replies.
