Vuj, in case you're wondering what that was, it was me saluting you as you went by!
---------------------------------------- Good thing I'm not hung up on the number 13 - looks like I'll be there for a while ... unless things change to where I can afford the kind of cruncher I want.  We passed the Media Temple team today on the Results Returned ranks. With our numbers lately, we're also making slow, steady progress on the other two fronts. Most importantly, Team WCG seems to be making good progress in the war. Finished my latest rounds with the docs (a routine thing for me nowadays). All remains well. My PSA remains zero. Another 18 months and I'll be moved into the "cured" category. The docs tell me that having had prostate cancer doesn't mean I'm at a higher risk for a second cancer. Still, with hypothyroidism being basically an auto-immune disease and cancer, in highly simplistic terms, being normal cellular reproduction gone haywire, the concern is one I doubt I'll get rid of. I'll stay with the approach that worked the first time - my next physical is already scheduled for August.  It's wierd but I think one of the best signs of the progress being made in the fight against cancer is the growing number of articles about the issues docs are having to face with the growing ranks of cancer survivors. There are enough of us now that docs (and survivors) are having to deal with the long-term effects of the treatments. I guess that's sort of a good problem to have. |

Congrats on the zero on the prostrate Keith. My dad, who is 82, goes in, in a couple of weeks as his numbers are too high and the docs at the VA are a tad bit concerned. My mother is a 12 + year breast cancer survivor. Parents is the #1 reason I decided to come over to World community Grid. Dunno why I joined the MOT. Seemed like the thing to do art the time.

Well heck, Darleen just pointed out that my " Dunno why I joined the MOT" makes it sound like we joined this team and not happy with that. That is totally untrue, Darleen and I like being here. I meant that I don't why we decided to pick this team over the others. I am thinking it was all the happy faces on the team updates :)
