Re: What is the difference between "pending validation" and "pending verification"

hmmm, maybe the device statuses reset, but then I'd have to see it too on my Zero Redundant only devices, and none of that. 1-2 PVer per day, the rest single or the occasional up-front quorum 2 that have a _1 suffix [the repair man indicator].

Re: What is the difference between "pending validation" and "pending verification"

edit: ** Think a runtime "Error" also kicks the 5 validations serial [server 700 rule].

Based on my experience, this is absolutely correct.

Re: What is the difference between "pending validation" and "pending verification"

What is it with valid results? I checked my results status today and I have 75 pages of them. There are 45 pages of valid results. The oldest are from the 7th of January which is 18 days ago. 45 pages is 675 but I have had about 3600 valid results since then. So maybe results are there for lets say 24 hours after they become valid and it took 18 days for some of them to become valid. I am guessing here since I do not know why it would take 18 days to validate a result.

Re: What is the difference between "pending validation" and "pending verification"

I've noticed the same thing. If I set WCGDAWS to show just one device and I sort by return date, as I scroll back, I gradually see more and more valid results. But even if I go back to near the beginning of Jan, I see a few pendings here and there.

My guess is that in some cases, complementary wu's have to be sent out repeatedly and in each case, up to maybe a week or so has to be given for the wu to be completed - but I'm just guessing.

Pending Validation means that it thinks the WU is ok and is awaiting the return of the wingman result.
Pending Verification is that it thinks it could be dodgy and has sent out another copy to verify it....this used to be called "inconsistent" and the changed it to Pending Verification to confuse every one

Thank you for this information. I have noticed that a considerable proportion of my Results were Pending Verification rather than Pending Validation. I thought that "pending verification" was simply a new name for Pending Validation. After having seen this thread, however, I notice that the FAQs were updated back in 2012. Thanks for setting me straight!
