Like the title says. I just installed it and started it up, but it's stuck at "Retrieving current status" and has been for the past 24 hours. I've tried reinstalling and restarting without any effect. I'm running Windows Server 2012 x64. Can anyone help?

Hi and welcome to WCG forums.
I have a sports-under-shirt which has BIONIC Energizer (tm) MK2 embossed on it, superior in sweat dissipation and maintain dry skin [so you don't feel the cold at low C], but I'm sure we're not talking about that. Windows Server 2012 x64... is it doubling as DC? Then you wont be able to use the vanilla BOINC version and have to revert to release 5.10.45. If not, post the full message log so we can read what we have on hand and the sequence of steps before it botches. When googling "Retrieving current status", only Linux OSses pop up with the issue, but with a prefix 'Error' to the message https://www.google.it/search?q=boinc+retrieving+current+status+error , so would like to know where exactly you see this status reported. One topic http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=6499 suggests you need to open ports 31416, 80 and 443 in the firewall. Need more info to proceed. |

Sorry for the incredibly late reply. It has slipped my mind. I'm not running a DC. In fact it barely has any roles at all beyond file share. How do I access the log file?
