Hi Everyone...
![]() I am not sure this is the right place to post this question but I am new so I dont know how forums work here... The Grid gives everyone small parts of 'Tasks' which processes in my PC & results are sent back, My Question is 1. Does each member get unique tasks ? or same task is given to many people and results from one who completes first is taken ? 2. Once the overall project is completed, Do we get Intimation on what was researched using all the resources from Grid ? Sorry for the noob questions ![]() Thanks in advance ![]() [To forum mods : Please feel free to relocate this thread to appropriate location :)] |

Two member get the same workunit to validate eatch other to be correct.
----------------------------------------You get information about the projct on the research button above and sometimes in the forum in eatch projects area. Even when projects are done, you get infos about news there. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by dskagcommunity at May 1, 2013 8:06:27 PM] |

1. Does each member get unique tasks ? or same task is given to many people and results from one who completes first is taken ? https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=17303 Some projects send single work units to individual clients, and some send multiple copies of a work unit to multiple clients. How the results are compared and used also depends on the specific project. Some simply compare results from different clients to verify accuracy, and assign credit to each client/member (if the results do not agree, the work units are reissued to different clients; partial credit may or may not be given). Human Proteome Folding is unique in that 19 slightly different work units are issued to 19 different clients; the results are compared and a particular result that is too different (according to criteria determined by the project's researchers) is rejected. |
