Does anyone know anything about the network card not being detected?

I've not changed anything, no updates and the card is just not being detected in normal windows startup. works ok in safe mode though!

Not one suggestion, but Google, who else, has a bunch of hits on the very question: https://www.google.it/search?q=windows+7+64v+bit+network+card+not+detected

Thanks again Rob, found a fix that worked for me, from the link you posted. The method that worked can be found here Although I did have to flush the bios, removed the bois battery for a few minutes, replace, restart, press F2 (in my case) to load default values into the bios at restart

Hope this helps someone else.

Re: Win 7 64 bit network card AWOL! [RESOLVED]

Suspected something in the power-saving department, but not this 'lengthy' and arduous fix, removing RAM for 30 seconds to 10 minutes a novelty to me.

Got NIC-Ethernet and Bluetooth manually powered down, and usually if going into the Network & Sharing control panel, change adapter settings to enable, it powers up, but for the Bluetooth it's more convoluted... have to go into the HP connection manager to revive that. That applet also has an 'Airplane mode'. Not tried it in-flight for fear of upsetting the pilot and all passengers, should the fly-by-wire-less get affected biggrin

Crunch On.

Yep, new on me too, still the combination seemed to allow the NIC to come out of 'deep sleep mode' and start working again! Then followed the advice and switched of the 'allow... to save power' option and all seems ok for now.

Thanks again Rob! Your assistance, is, as always, very much appreciated!
