I'm babysitting for my Brother-in-Law at the moment and performing some <ahem> essential maintenance! He doesn't have his machine on all the time, but it's a P4-2.8 with 1Gb of RAM so it should get through them quite quickly... just need to get him on to broadband now, I'm at 46.6kbps according to my connection icon and it's so slow it's killing me... just took 8 mins to download the agent!! |

I always have WCG on pen drive attached to my trousers - so no re-downloading needed...

I'm on dialup @ the same speed, Just this morning I woke up with 10 wu's waiting to be sent in. Took about an hour and 45 min. altogether. I really should get broadband but I'd have to network 10 pc's first. The cost of that is what's stopping me at the moment. Every time some cash became available in the past, I spent it on another pc. Kinda crazy, I know, but computers are more interesting to me than networking gear. |
