Onna Steek! Shame about the LG, would have thought it would have been a good place for a show as that's what it is designed for. But glad you enjoyed the show, not that I'm envious at all, no no no not at all no no. Envy envy envy envy Should have kept an eye out on his tour dates I only found out about the tour by accident, right place / right time, it wasn't well advertised The Arena itself was good (excpet for having to be re-seated due to them putting the Camera's in our direct line of sight), but their prices were staggeringly expensive!!! 1) I searched their website as best as I could for info on possible parking charges, there was NO info about this at all, infact, it cost us £8 to park (cash only, lucky I took some!). 2) They (LG), insisted that there was an intermission (even Jeff seemed unhappy with it)... He had no support act, so he was forced to cut his set in to 2 halves, which killed the flow of the act. 3) 9000+ people there and they only had a maximum of 3 people serving at any one stand, so food, drink & merchandise stands where packed to the rafters with little hope of buying anything before Jeff started/re-started. 4) £4 for a Coke, £4 for a small tub of nacho's and 1 dip ect, ect (if you could get there quick enough to buy anything). I know they employ a lot of people, offered free shuttles to and from and all that, but there is a thin line between making the amount of money you need to and giving yourself a healthy profit margin and ripping people off! £4 for 12/15 Nacho's and a dip is beyond a healthy profit margin IMO (just the parking itself..., lets say 3000 cars * £8 each = £24,000 before everything else). |

Crikey, need a mortgage to get a drink and nibbles! Odd though to have a break if the act doesn't want one.
----------------------------------------Surely there has to be more staff on at the break than that? I go to the Colston Hall in Bristol a couple of times a year and they have more than that at each bar. I got stung a few years back in Cardiff on parking charges when I saw Bill Bailey there, it was over a tenner that night which considering that parking around the Colston Hall is only a couple-a-three quid for all evening, felt rather ripped off. |

Apparently, LG insisted on a break (the tone of Jeff's voice when he told us led me to beleive that he wasn't happy, part of the contract he had to sign to play there). You've seen Bill Bailey (he's next on my list to see ), you mentioned Colston Hall in Bristol, where about's do you live? (I'm Glastonbury), sounds like we could almost be neighbors |
