Re: LunchCrunch Report

Well today I've gotta say that I'm not a very happy chappy sad

On the 2nd September, I took my I7 to my local PC shop for a new Mobo as the Asrock Mobo had failed on me, fast forward 1 week and the new Mobo hadn't even been ordered, let alone fitted angry ... I was promised it would be ready by Tuesday, that then moved to today and now it's tomorrow crying

I've told the shop not to bother fitting the Mobo, I'll do it myself just as soon as it's delivered... Mobo or not, the system is coming home with me tomorrow afternoon and I'll fit it myself... Never having done it before, I'm kinda apprehensive but I've done some research and I'm confident I can do it without blowing the house apart, just gotta go nice and easy, slowly through the steps.

I must admit that it is about time I learned, I know most of everything else and if I knew on the 2nd September, what I know now I would have ordered the Mobo myself and had it up and running in a couple of days angry

Ohh well, atleast It'll gain me some experiance, the last hurdle jumped nerd

In Other News

Sourced from the BBC:
A vaccine for the monkey equivalent of HIV appears to eradicate the virus, a study suggests.

Nature - 11 September 2013

"A CMV virus has now been engineered which generates the same immune response but has been attenuated [modified to lose its virulence] to the point where we think it is unequivocally safe.

This would first have to pass through the regulatory authorities, but if it does, he said he hoped to start the first clinical trials in humans in the next two years".

Am not surprised you're not a happy chappy, I wouldn't be either.
I've done a couple of complete builds before and just take it steady, don't rush and if in doubt then check and double check. I have melted a cpu due to a lack of care blushing They're not meant to smoke when the computer starts up!
And have a quality ale or two ready as a reward.
Talking of which, I'm enjoying a Cornish Mutiny from the Wooden Hand brewery.
