I think I remember reading sometime ago something to the effect that no future project will be GPU capable from the get go. If a project is to transition to GPU capable it will only happen sometime after launch.

And dusting off the soapbox:
Despite all the recent improvements in WCG communication I still think there's a case for something like a WCG blog. At the very least all WCG tech (& admin) posts should be available in one place (with a link to the thread in which they appear) instead of having to search by name for recent posts.

Morning all!

Well, it's not the long-planned "beast" server, but hopefully should have something new in my farm later in the week - a dual Xeon 5650 (6-core HT-enabled CPU, so 24 threads in total) server. Should help with my decline in stats a little bit, anyway!
