The website including the forum was down for approx 4 hrs this morning however BOINC upload/download appears to have been unaffected.
----------------------------------------I noticed that around 10:00am SekeRob posted of the WCG Facebook page. Forums & Website down since about 09:00UTC. BOINC upload/download working, Around 12:00UTC there was an acknowledgement: Thanks Rob - looking in to it! Shortly after trying to access WCG returned the maintenance page and at 12:35 uplinger posted WCG experiencing "technical issue" Problem appeared to have been resolved around 13:05.  Morning Update follows.  uplinger We encountered a major server outage around 0900 today that took the main website down for about 4 hours. We are working to find out the root cause of this. I will probably need to stop and start services over the next few hours as we move some services around to other servers. There must have been a problem earlier than that.
At 05.30am I had a notice on my crunching machine stating that Maintenance/database repairs were now completed, the date shown was 28/Feb 2015. I have also found that work run on my machine vanishes when complete and is not listed in result stats or credited. I had 2 results for OET, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday I had 1 OET job each day, they completed and nothing has ever been credited. 1 OET job was done Monday and listed in results. A few weeks back I had 2x 12 hour and 2x 20 hour MCM jobs that I never saw listed as pending or valid, they completed, got reported but I never saw them listed in status , I have no idea if there was points credited. I see in the Contribution History that some days my run time is only 4 or 6 hours, maybe just the way work is reported but this machine runs 24/7 doing nothing but WCG crunching. |

Check what settings you have in Settings: Communication Preferences in particular under the righthand In-App Notifications column and what setting is chosen for Digest Options . I have also found that work run on my machine vanishes when complete and is not listed in result stats or credited. Your stats for the last 10 days show:
Completed work is only recognised in RT/Pts/Res when it is validated rather than when it is returned. The question of work units vanishing and not being credited crops up fairly often in the forum but has never been proved to be actually happening. Digest Options are set weekly. 3 times whilst trying to access that page I got " Bad request " Information not available. Had to reload the page a few times. The data from that link only shows 3 recent jobs for MCM, nothing else listed. As to the missing work , I can assure you that I check every morning to see what is running, I already had 2 EOT results showing and Fri, Sat, Sun I had short (@2-3 hour) work units from EOT. All 3 finished and were reported. Monday I had an EOT unit which shows in stats and was credited. I should have 6 EOT results showing , I only have 3. |

Can I suggest that you run that data link every 2-3 hours, compare the results and try to relate whats happening to the movement hoen in your stats. As notes in that thread I linked to we greatly miss the WCGDAWS program developed by piroque but which was rendered in operative when the system was overhauled last year.

Good evening all.
----------------------------------------Unfortunately 3d rendering has massively affected my stats since I started on Friday and is using all CPU resources. I am already seeing three pages of no reply and the rendering is still not completed. Most upsetting to say the least. On a positive note, I have added a old four core 2.8 GHz Xeon workstation to the fleet today.
