Afternoon all. Hope we've remembered changing our clocks?

I thought I'd have a quick look at yesterdays output for the UK itself and who do I spy in the top 3 positions for RT? Mamaj (290d), Reduk (183d) & GrumpyCat (169d) with OldChap from XtremeSystems in 4th (106d)

Good evening team,

Just returned from a lovely walk in Northumberland. Weather was somewhat temperamental but between showers the scenery was superb.

Trying to limit my rendering sessions to only using circa 50% CPU resources wherever possible as very disappointed to have lost the last weeks of runtime due to the work units timing out on my main workstation.

Unfortunately, due to it being considerably more power-inefficient than I expected, I've finally had to retire the first server I ever started using for WCG - it was only a dual-Xeon server with 2-core non-hyperthreaded processors, but it still did its fair share of work over the years.

However, I can't really justify continuing to use a server that pulls 1.15A, when I'm only supposed to be using a maximum of 0.5A.

Unfortunately my Samsung galaxy s has fried itself crunching so my stats will take a hit. It was only three months old. I will try to get it repaired as it is still under warranty but it was reporting cpu at 90c... so I have been half expecting it...

Update:

Main box is still crunching, however it has no connection out at the moment due to the local f/w being down.

It should be back up and connectable soon.

Note self: make sure your mate does not delete the VM firewall.
