Re: Good morning all

Now you just showing off @crooks_uk, is that a Philips BDM4065UC?

It certainly is. I would highly recommend them. 4k at 40" is perfect for PC use!

Having a day or two off from rendering with the main workstation so performance should increase a little! Going to look at GPU rendering in other AutoDesk products so I can free up the CPUs for WCG in the future but will have to learn a new program first!

Re: Morning Update

Congratulations to the following UK team members on achieving a Personal Milestone in yesterday's crunching: biggrin hugs

mike@oberon 7 years RunTime
themoonscrescent 100 years RunTime for the UK team biggrin
Ian_UK 30 years RunTime for the UK team
Matthew674 180 days RunTime for the UK team
reduk moves above 6000 in the RunTime Rankings to #5,968
seamansgirl moves above 200000 in the Results Rankings to #199,989

Wow, nice one TMC.
Always good to see milestones being passed, especially for those with a little less power appearing in the daily report, Matthew674 & seamansgirl (who I have seen reading the team thread). Every completed unit is just as valuable and welcome as any another.
Well done guys applause

Yes @genhos, visiting Ecuador and Galapagos in June so well worth a week of discomfort biggrin and starting to feel better this morning thanks..
Thanks @crooks_uk, I've been considering 3 x Philips 40" monitors but reckon I'll need at least two if not three gtx 980's to run them all in UHD at 59hz . would make an awesome flightsim though...

Games would be awesome (don't play them myself but keep meaning to find the time) but I suspect even triple SLI will struggle on some. Even moderate 3D CAD work pushes my Quadro to 60% and 6GB vRAM and that is only using 1 4k monitor for the 3D work!

I have a 1600 x 800 desk and two desk high drawer pedestals and the 3 40" screens will fill them nicely, but you would struggle to fit them on anything smaller.

Cant wait for the 3rd monitor to be delivered tomorrow. I have made space for it! Unfortunately my GPU will not be able to run this one at 60Hz as it is over dual link DVI, but it is intended to display static drawings so it shouldn't be a problem.
