All teams from #3 to #10 can still pass us at the end.
#3,#4,#5,#6,#7,#8 can pass us as early as tomorrow. Enjoy it while we can and keep our guards up. It's a week long marathon. Keep crunching! coffee

Well said. We will have to watch what tomorrows stats update tells us. good luck

I would recommend running projects with a short run time and a quorum of 1. I know that Microbiome Immunity Project and Smash Childhood Cancer Project both fit that, maybe there are others. That way the work you process near the end is more likely to be completed and uploaded prior to the close of the challenge (a half-completed WU is of no value) and with a quorum of 1 you don't have to worry about a wingman.

This is FUN. laughing

Cheers coffee

Re: SNURK and friends - Hop on to say hi

Yes, SNURK, this is really awesome.
How the week will end depends on many factors which I know are being scrutinized and calculated
by your guest crunchers OldChap and VietOZ in cooperation with NixChix, Base Camp's Field Marshall.
One thing I know is:
You cannot be sure of anything.
Therefore: The broader the base the better the chances for SNURK and friends
- so, if we can get even more crunchers to join your team, our footing will be better.

Let this be one more yell for help.
You may be a guest SNURKer
You may become a permanent SNURKer as four crunchers have chosen just recently
You may become a Base Camper and join Base Camp for future treks with any team as your home one
Whatever you do will earn you this badge augmented by this bonus one
- just KLiK here and KLiK 'Join'
- no strings attached when this week is over cool

Re: SNURK and friends - Hop on to say hi

Hey guys and gals. I'm not used to being on a team, little mermaid asked me to throw my points in for a challenge this week. I added the team, do I need to keep track of anything or do anything special? Or just crunch crunch crunch? Thanks!

You are doing all you need! Keep it up!!! applause

@joneill003: At this point, just crunch crunch crunch. It's a run time challenge so put as many core/thread up as you have. Doesn't matter how slow or fast it is 1 cpu thread = 1 day

Thanks! I had a power issue at the house last night, and when it came back on most of my army needed to be booted. So hopefully no more power issues for the rest of the week smile

Re: SNURK and friends - Hop on to say hi

1 BiblePay 48 years, 258 days, 19 hours, 55 minutes, 38 seconds
2 Byteball.org 36 years, 92 days, 3 hours, 41 minutes, 57 seconds
3 SETI.USA 24 years, 284 days, 26 minutes, 18 seconds
4 SNURK and friends 23 years, 290 days, 13 hours, 23 minutes, 21 seconds
5 L'Alliance Francophone 23 years, 265 days, 20 hours, 58 minutes, 15 seconds

SNURK will drop even faster the next couple days. But still probably good in the top 10. Don't forget there's an OS update on the 11th on WCG so make sure you have work for the down time. And who knows if the upgrade goes smooth or not. Best is if you have bunkers then make sure everything is valid in case something goes wrong.
