I got an answer and the techs are really sorry, but it is against the policies of the grid to manually add teams to a challenge.

So please keep in your mind for the next year 10th Birthday challenge, that your team captain is available.

You are in my mind and we still miss the Ni-Knights on this challenge!

Brings a possible feature request to mind... a vice Captain. Seeing enough shrubbers on the forums. Late entry permitted (?), more than a months notice FATCIC [far as this challenge is concerned].
