Re: After installing, computer will not boot to windows

^ Hope you're not running Internet Explorer and using some type of noscript/adblock add-on. I've installed BOINC a number of times on different setups and that has never happened. Try testing your RAM

Internet explorer, haha, no I use Chrome, and do have an adblock on here. The RAM should be fine. It's Ballistix Gaming RAM.

Or Lavasoft Ad-Aware Free Antivirus. Never got a virus with it(at least no that any other tools could find).

What do we know about Google and security? Well, not much positive information are coming from that side of the world, at least from the point of Android. Very often Android applications are intoxicated with (dangerous) malware. Relation to Chrome? IDK. It is not that long on the market to gain any reputation...

What? I've downloaded hundreds of applications, and have used Chrome for years. There may be a few intoxicated applications on the Play Store, but Google does a good job to remove them. Chrome is the safest browser, from the test I've seen, and it is the most widely used browser of all of them.

Re: After installing, computer will not boot to windows

I use both FireFox & Chrome and haven't had a problem using BOINC with either.

And, yes, I do use adblock add-ons.

Re: After installing, computer will not boot to windows

There is no Antivirus that is 100% safe they just make you a Little bit safer. I Think it is a hardware problem when you cant boot to your operating system. It is just trail and error that works to find out what is the problem. Since it is working now it is even harder to find what was wrong. Good luck and happy crunching.
