Dear friends,
as we all know, in the Mapping Cancer Project there is a redundance of two. This means, that one and the same workunit is beeing cacluated by two independent computers. I have found out, that the log of one and the same work unit looks different. In other words: My computer seems to have done something different than the computer of my fellow cruncher working on the same workunit. The computers seem to have carried out not the same operations. Here is the content of the log. The number of the workunit is: Mapping Cancer Markers Created: 11/21/2013 22:40:07 Name: MCM1_0000209_1207 My log of this wokrunit: Oh, sorry, I have to post the logs later, because right now statistcs are beeing updated. Sorry, I will post the rest tomorrow mornig, when the statistic update is over Greetings MS |

Hello,
unfortunately the workunit MCM1_0000209_1207 does not appear in my personal statistics ("my contribution") anymore. Therefore, I will not be able to post the log. Sorry for that MS |

Hi Martin,
----------------------------------------I notice significant performance drop down with MCM on Ubuntu-based hosts. Do you observe similar effects? Cheers, Yves |

I have got one machine only. No comparison possible. Thanks for your answer anyway. Have you heard of this? http://www.eyewire.org/ Here you can do sience, too. It is not distributed computing, it is distributed "hand work". All the best Martn |
