I manually deleted most of the files in Boinc Data folder, installed 7.2.34, and did a project reset. Now everyting is working.

The error is transient and I'm able to test it 4-5 times before the issue clears and the requests start going through. There is definitely an issue but I haven't figured out exactly what conditions result in the issue yet. So does this mean that it would eventually clear as far as we are concerned....we would not have to do anything as it eventually send further downloads? |

If i can get another example or two, I should be able to permanently fix. If someone is encountering this issue, please do not attempt to resolve it yourself by reinstalling/deleting/etc, please send me the files requested above so I can reproduce and get the global fix in place.

I would if I knew where to mail them. The current and only solution is to detach and make a new client I guess. The "don't get task" will stop all afflicted cruchers once their buffer run dry.

It looks like the problem is over, as I did receive new (MCM) tasks again.
----------------------------------------Unfortunately over 80 tasks that I had received just before the errors started, and 3 that waited for report, all erred out with messages like: Message from server: Result MCM1_0000673_3199_0 is no longer usable Never had that error before, so I wonder if it is related to the (fixing of the) problem of this thread.Message from server: Result E217756_704_K....... is no longer usable..... Thank you 3rkko. Jamaar: sorry to hear that. I reported mine the past two days with the "no new task" activated. As far as I can see they all made it.

I've started getting this problem now. I've a number of completed tasks so I've tried forcing an update so I can get new ones but I get;
----------------------------------------12/17/2013 8:06:58 PM | World Community Grid | update requested by user 12/17/2013 8:07:03 PM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 12/17/2013 8:07:03 PM | World Community Grid | Reporting 12 completed tasks 12/17/2013 8:07:03 PM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU 12/17/2013 8:07:05 PM | World Community Grid | [error] Can't parse file info in scheduler reply: unexpected XML tag or syntax 12/17/2013 8:07:05 PM | World Community Grid | [error] No close tag in scheduler reply I get no new tasks and my completed tasks don't complete. I have this at the bottom of my reply file which I think is the "No close tag in scheduler reply"
I've emailed this file to be looked at as well. Edit: I tried to force an update again and the bottom of the file changes; 12/17/2013 8:24:26 PM | World Community Grid | [error] Can't parse workunit in scheduler reply: unexpected XML tag or syntax 12/17/2013 8:24:26 PM | World Community Grid | [error] No close tag in scheduler reply <file_ref> I looks like the xml file is not generated/sending completely.
