Do I have enough time to finish my work unit?

I have a faah work unit that still needs 20 hours. It says it's due March 1.
Currently where I live it is still Feb.28 for another hour and a half.

Is my work unit expected already? These forum posts already say it's March 1.
Or do I have until the end of March 1? If so, how many hours remain?

Or should I just abort it and get new ones? I have already put 20 hours into it, and it's 50% complete.

Re: Do I have enough time to finish my work unit?

Just let it run.

The server will issue a duplicate work unit after yours becomes overdue if it is not yet returned. Server will subsequently abort duplicate if it has not been run when yours is returned.

Ignore forum time/date with regard to work unit due time.

Also...

I suspect that you might be running a large cache of work to find yourself in this predicament.
Reducing your cache will prevent similar situations arising in future.

Strictly speaking, from the server viewpoint, a job is late if it has not been reported at the exact time shown in its timestamp and a replacement copy will then be sent to somebody else.
Practically if you return/report yours before its replacement copy is back it will still be OK and the replacement copy might be cancelled if it has not yet started to compute in the replacement machine.

All server times and times shown in the Status Report pages are UTC times.
With a standard installation of BOINC the times shown by BOINC Manager are the equivalent local times.
Timestamps in the forum are UTC by default but you can adjust them as you like via "My Forum Profile" when you are logged on.
From what you say I assume that times you see in the forum are the default UTC times.

Re: Do I have enough time to finish my work unit?

Yes, I have default times in the forum, but I will try to fix that.

A copy of mine was probably set out, but I did complete mine and reported it. But what happens if some else started the copy already, will the system still sancel theirs if it's in progress?

Re: Do I have enough time to finish my work unit?

It looks like the work unit is still pending verification.

Yes, once yours is valid. See Scribe's reply below.
Thank you Scribe.
Cheers

Edited for clarification.

If it is pending verification rather than pending validation then it is unlikely to cancel the one already sent as it needs it to verify yours!
