I'm slowly moving my crunchers to other projects, project I've been neglecting somewhat of late. While I will be remaining present and crunching on WCG I will move most of my cores to the following:
Rosetta@Home SIMAP (boincsimap) MilkyWay@Home Once I've reached that goal, I'll be bringing all my cores back to my main account on WCG - Mamajuanauk, most likely reaching for new heights! I need to get my second Blue Globe on the SNURK Sig. Mamajuana also requires the Blue badge for CEP2 and to reach 10M in FreeDC too, all of which I'll be working on in the coming weeks. For anyone who wishes to follow progress there is the FreeDC sig file below Why am I posting this? Well to answer all the inevitable questions about my 'Absence' when my output reduces. I'll be away, but back soon! |

Hi Mamajuana,
Good luck with your crunching mission. I also crunch for Rosetta@Home as I believe they are doing very important work in protein folding (I'm not scientific enough to fully understand how it works). I used to crunch for Milkyway@Home but now focus on medical and disease control projects. I will look into crunching for Malaria Control Project. |

Hi Mamajuana, Thanks KnightSkyGood luck with your crunching mission. I used to crunch for Milkyway@Home but now focus on medical and disease control projects. I will look into crunching for Malaria Control Project. I crunch for Milkway purely on GPU, thus it doesn't reduce what I'm doing for medical research, which is where my main focus is, the same as you... Good luck on Malaria control, it's a good project, although can be a little intermitent from time to time, I think we drain the feeder... Regards |

I'm going to reduce my WCG output until 19th too. The pentathlon (organized by seti germany) has started and as a team member of a team that is subscribed to this competition I'm doing my best to support them.

So much for the plan! Well I'm still working on the other projects, but the draw of the new badges and chasing new goals on WCG was too much!
----------------------------------------So the new plan is to hit WCG with most of my cores and keep a few for the other projects, slowly increasing them in the background... Let the fun of the chase begin! Anyone care to join me?
