Re: Request for a little help.

Kelly's Final Daily Report for May 9th, 2014 - You provided Kelly with 817 votes today.

On the last day of the contest, you provided Kelly with 817 votes , our best overall daily vote production. Kelly's total accumulated votes on 9th May 2014, the end of phase 1, is a highly respectable 10,679 votes. The registered Local Hero contestants numbered 1,435 so the top 143 of them will be moving on to phase 2 of this contest. My calculated ranking for Kelly is # 89 with an error margin of plus or minus 3.

On behalf of Kelly and the Golden Pit Crew, I thank you very much for your support and dedication. applause

Kelly has been suffering from skeletal muscular atrophy from birth, when she was a child she could walk. Skeletal muscular atrophy is a painful and permanent disability. Kelly broke her arms and legs and never regained use of them. She has two titanium rods in her back to hold her up. The animals she works with are also therapy for her. Please give her your voting support.

Re: Request for a little help.

Is there a place we can follow this further, like into phase 2?

Re: Request for a little help.

Thank you to the more than 4 million people who submitted and voted for their Local Heroes as part of National Mobility Awareness Month. Entering a Local Hero story and Voting is now closed and the top 10% of the entries in each of the categories (caregivers, seniors and general) with the most votes are being reviewed by an independent panel of judges
.

The four finalists will be contacted by a National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) representative by May 30, 2014. Please watch for updates on NMEDAs Facebook page. Should you have any questions on the program, please visit http://www.mobilityawarenessmonth.com/about/rules/.

Semi-Finalists will be posted on this website by May 15, 2014.
