I have three (3) machines running WCG, all under the same userid. Two of the machines are Windows 7, one is an iMac under OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). Since the MCM project started up, I noticed this quirk. The Mac gets MCM work units, the W7 machines do not. All are set to automatic opt-in for projects. Why is this happening?

Hi humdinger70,
----------------------------------------I am receiving MCM WU's on both Mac PC running on Mavericks and Win7 64b rig. Follow Scribe's recommendations and we might find the problem(s). Cheers ![]() Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. Shrubbing@Home since January 5 2006 ![]() |

I changed the profile on the W7 machines from 'work' to 'Default'. The Mac was already set that way. Let's see what happens. Don't know what the log will tell you, what's available isn't from startup, it's in the middle, with lots of download and upload messages.

Hello humdinger70,
You can scroll the Event Log back to the beginning unless it has filled up the file and started a new one. Even then you can reboot and paste from the start of the new Event Log, which describes your system. Lawrence |

That tells us absolutely nothing! Scribe, you are too pessimistic : that confirms that the two groups of machines were not using the same profiles, which was the most probable explanation. I expect that humdinger70 will soon post that this problem is solved (hopefully ![]() |
