The page that say "Calling All Climate Scientists" has a tasks returned count associated with it. Since the count is fairly small, I assume they are the beta units. Would it be reasonable to assume that the new project is a Climate Project?

What's the page link It's on the WCG home page OK I see it now - on the first of 5 slides. I hope I'm wrong but I would be sceptical that these are BETA units for a climate related new project. We have been repeatedly told that bringing on board a new project takes many months and its been only 7 weeks since the Obama Call to Action on Climate Data Initiative. It's possible that a project was already in the pipeline but unless WCG comment it can only be speculation. |

It might be a blooper (or a test). I really never noticed that there were counters on the project's descriptions on the home page.

I believe it is the project, hence why I posted elsewhere that this new project is related to climate or food. Aside from the counter, the image is named as beta.gif (or some other extension).

#beta
Could just be a technical way to get that slide in from the active/intermittent 'projects', to get the call to climate scientists shoehorned in. The technicians now having fun with us by using the beta18 or beta19 counter feeding into that page. There being no #sn2s tagged slide is suggestive of that not coming back anytime soon. Pity. |
