Ok, my tests have proven to be good, I am going to update the parts on the backend. Members who were having this issue will start seeing the additional urls in 24 hours as the new work is loaded in.

Presumably we only see this in the event log if the cdn fails over to the root url, or? To me not worth to generate notice, which prompts the question. Is a notice generated in the agent if downloads/uploads n-times fail? Background computing could lead to nodes going silent for longer.

Basically, for a majority of users, they will not notice anything. It'll attempt to download form the CDN for the files that were designed to be downloaded from there.
For those with the issue at hand, it'll give them the same error they saw before, which is the host could not be found, temporary download error. Once that occurs, the agent will automatically attempt to download from the main servers. Thanks, -Uplinger |

we still can not download WU(ugm) directly.How long can CDN company take to resolve this problem ?Is there a schedule ?

Can you please let me know your error messages you're seeing? The workunits should have a secondary url which will be used in the case the CDN is not able to be connected to. Thanks, -Uplinger |

my Andriod phone was stalled at downloading oet1_00_v01.png file for one week. Because of this, my boinc will not download new WU. In Event Log it says:"World Community Grid Not requesting tasks: some download is stalled"

The file I mentioned(’oet1_00_v01.png') was downloaded successfully just now.
So there is no problem with my andriod phone right now. |

The log of Smitjes is kindly rerun with the http debug flags set, see http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=284686 . Then it will tell what url's are falling over and where in the process.
